Dino shirt!

I love dressing the baby in little outfits!

Especially now that she's older (an elderly 11 weeks tomorrow!) and is becoming less of a baby blob with each day that passes. Teeny tiny leggings and hoodies? How cute right?

I love putting her in leggings. Maybe because I'm lazy and they're my favourite form of "pants". Or maybe because it just seems to make sense, with frequent diaper changes and not restricting those chubby chubby thighs. We have flowered leggings, ones with frilly cuffs and all different colours.

My favourite colour to put her in is green for some reason. She just seems to look good in light green and white.

There seems to be some silly rule at the stores where girl clothes are pink and flowery and boy clothes are blue and have cool sharks and dinos and monsters on them. The beautiful thing about having a baby girl to dress up is that I can pick and choose the best of both worlds. Adorable pink frilly bummed leggings and THIS AMAZING DINOSAUR shirt that I just ordered from The Children's Place? Don't mind if I do!

Class Reunion!

Our pre-natal class reunion party was last night. It was super fun seeing everyone and their babies! The past year has definitely been a girl boom. Out of my friends and friends of friends, everyone I knew had girls. In our pre-natal class, 8 out of 10 babies were girls! 80% girls!

We don't really have any baby friends nearby so it was neat meeting babies who were all born within a few weeks of Rowen. If anyone from the class who reads this doesn't want this photo posted, please let me know!

Hopefully we can get together again further down the road and compare baby stories again. Or maybe I can finally find someone to go to a stoller movie with me. The idea of going to one of those Mom and Baby movies used to sound godawful to me... and to be honest, it does sound kinda like a stressful silly situation but I WANT TO SEE THE HUNGER GAMES, DAMNIT!

Below are the Orange Pekoe shortbreads that I bakes for Lowell's Grandma's 90th Birthday party. Or Rowen's Great Gramma;s 90th Birthday party. Great-grandma likes orange pekoe tea so I took some liberties on on Mom's and "The Happy Baker's" (my current new fun baking cookbook) shortbread recipe and invented these. HOLY RUN ON SENTENCE, BATMAN!

She smiles!

I DEFY you to look at this photo and not smile!!

Some days are hard. But then she smiles and "talks" and everything is okay.

Brunch!

Rowen came for her first Ladies Brunch this past Saturday! We were literally just across the street from the apartment and Lowell was going to be at home in case of baby meltdown, but she was perfect! I think she liked the noise and excitement of being out with me, she was awake for 10 minutes and then snoozing till we got home. It was nice being out with friends, eating overpriced delicious brunchy food again. I feel like I can still be "me"... Louis Vuitton stuffed into the mini diaper bag attachment, it's all good! And I remembered not to order piping hot drinks AND didn't drop food on the baby's head!

Easter Rowen Bunny

We are not religious, but I do believe in adorable Bunny hoodies, baby blue cottontail pants and delicious Cadbury Easter Chocolates!

Ooof... that belly!! I love her milk gut!

Too. cute.
Now we're off to Easter Dinner! We're taking the stroller on the TTC for the first time. All the way across town from Queen West to the Beaches! Wish us luck....
